As a retired teacher and librarian, Pat Harris loves to create original designs and then develop easy and accurate methods for her workshop students. Her designs often appear in magazines, and she was featured in Quiltfolk Rhode Island. Pat’s talents reach far beyond pattern designing and teaching. Her longarm quilting expertise has garnered awards at shows from local to international. Her newest passion is creating modern improv quilts. She has her own YouTube channel, is a certified quilt judge, and serves as the webmaster for the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges. Thoroughly Modern Quilting is a lecture that explores how to balance modern minimalist design while introducing texture. Watch as Pat shows the transformation quilting can bring about by adding depth to design, color, and the interplay of positive and negative space to create stunning effects.
