This class begins by working with color and shade to create an improvisationally pieced quilt top. The quilt top is completely covered by a solid piece of fabric on top of batting and backing to make a quilt sandwich. This is then machine quilted in an improvisational pattern to create shapes that will be cut, exposing the piece below, showcasing Sara’s unique style.
