Amanda Bauer, Maven Quilts & Stitchery, grew up in North Georgia surrounded by a deep family heritage of quilters, needlework stitchers and textile artists.
After quilting for over 15 years, Amanda found her passion for the portable, meditative art of English Paper Piecing that offered her the perfect canvas for textile artistry filled with vibrant colors and intense patterns.
After thousands of stitches and many learning opportunities, Amanda developed the Maven Method for English Paper Piecing (EPP). The Maven Method teaches not only EPP basics tools & techniques, but practice tips that will make your EPP relaxing and FUN!
Please arrive no earlier than 8:45.
Required Workshop supply pack: $15 payable to Amanda in class. She accepts cash, checks, credit cards and Venmo.
Includes all you will need for the workshop: EPP paper templates, fabric, basic EPP supplies including needle, thread, sewtite magnet, EPP glue stick, and other goodies to try!

Fussy Cutting is a central joy for many EPP Stitchers that opens your eye to a whole new world of seeing and using fabric to create unique designs.
During this workshop, we will explore, learn and stitch two Fussy Cutting techniques:
Section 1: Kaleidoscope Block: Make a kaleidoscope block by fussy cutting fabric into an intricate design. So much fun!
Section 2: Focus Motifs: Learn how to incorporate and manage a focus motif into different shapes. Not just for EPP but traditional piecing as well.
