Ideal for quilters looking to enter judged competitions or simply elevate their craftsmanship, this workshop provides valuable knowledge and hand-on experience to guide your quilting journey. Gain insight into the quilt judging process and learn how to refine your quilting from design to construction to binding. This interactive workshop begins with a PowerPoint presentation followed by hands-on quilt evaluation to help you recognize key elements that make a quilt stand out. You’ll learn what judges look for in quilt shows. You may bring your own quilt blocks or use Pat’s samples for evaluation. You will be able to assess your own quilts for design, construction and finishing. You’ll identify your areas of strength and opportunities for improvement so you can develop a growth plan. Note: this is a general workshop to help you see your quilts through the eyes of an experienced certified judge. It is not a tutorial on the specifics of the ECQG show, Georgia Celebrates Quilts. Pat will not be a judge at our 2026 show.
