Cassandra identifies “as a contemporary quilter, because I’m going to make whatever I feel like making, and I have no intention of plunking myself inside a box.” Most of her work would be categorized as modern or art quilts, but occasionally elements of the traditional can be seen. She claims to be neurotic about the accurate construction of seams and points. However, she feels that free motion quilting has more energy when it’s a bit wild. Her best advice is, “Be fearless with your work! Try a new technique! Create an original design! You are in control of the fabric!” Check out Cassandra’s website, www.thenotsodramaticlife.com.
