Scientist and quilter, Sylvia Schaefer, will present two different lectures this month. "Inspiration is everywhere—in my case, I often find it in science. I'll show you my quilts and talk about the science behind them. You'll leave with a few fun new factoids about the way the world works and inspiration to look to your own career for quilt ideas."

Sylvia's striking quilts are fun, quirky and modern, with her inspiration coming from modern science as well as traditional quilt blocks. She designs patterns, teaches and makes award winning quilts. Sylvia also loves paper piecing, which is featured in many of her patterns.
Sylvia’s unique patterns, books, and other items will be available for purchase during our meeting.
