This workshop combines basic direct dye information and playing with patterning techniques and tools. The focus is on creating pattern on fabric using simple, readily available or easy to make tools. In-class instruction, demos and comprehensive hand-outs allow you to replicate the techniques learned in class. This class fosters individual exploration and experimentation. It is perfect for beginners and those with some dyeing experience.

Click Here for the Supply List. It includes the items you need to bring, the items that will be provided, and details on the REQUIRED $31 Kit. The materials for the kit are being sold at cost. Since dyeing requires chemicals and supplies that most quilters don’t keep on hand, the Program Committee has purchased dyes, chemicals and other supplies in bulk. There will be 20 warm color kits, and 20 cool color kits. First come first choice with payment at the May day meeting. The $31 Kit cost is payable to Evelyn Kennedy by cash, check or Venmo at the May day meeting, and will only be given out to registered students. Bring your kit money!
